M. Michel Vuichard, former employee of the
Centre for Research and Development of the company Charmilles
Technologies, has installed the first machine in the basement
of his house.

| 1968 |
The company already
has 10 employees and is unleashing a large EDM market for luxury ST Dupont lighters. Nearly 2,000,000 lighters
will pass through the company over a period of 27 years.

1° expansion:
the company has the ability to transform its own machines or
make special machines so that it reinforces its position as
leader by offering its customers surface textures and precision
at interesting costs.

2° expansion:
The company goes into three levels: Computers, EDM,
equipment.

| 1988 |
The company has
been founded on a reputation in the field of die-sinking and
especially in special parts. It is currently launching itself
in EDM wire cutting.
EDM wire cutting will develop rapidly as well as data processing
tools.
Michel Vuichard,
his son Philippe and their team shall collaborate
to lead more and more complicated projects, in particular:
- machining in four axes for the achievement of
steam turbines
- pilot control cams for airliners
- wire cutting machining
with a turning axis mastered for the achievement
of solenoids

M. Philippe Vuichard,
mechanical engineer, recovers the company and invests in micro
machining.

| 2000 |
A micro-drilling sector is created, including
a full time person, two machines and very important optical control
methods.
Checking is increased with a three dimensional measure ZEISS scanning machine.

|
| 2003 |
The company is investing more than 400.000 € in
two top of the range wire cutting machines.
These 4030 Twin Wire machines not only allow very large precisions (± 0.002
for some parts) and very low surface textures (Ra 0,16) but also the easy use
of fine wire such as Ø 0.1, Ø 0.07, Ø 0.05, Ø 0.03 |
